I have a 9 with, the claim is, 14x7 raii from a '68 Lemans. Everything else on the car is stock.

I have 215 70 14 on the car right now bf/ta. (Of couse you have to f/in order them!) There is about a quarter ince to 5/16" space between the rubber and outer tie. I was going for all the meat it could swallow. The guy at the tire store looked at the configuration and said that if I ordered larger than 225, he would note on the invoice the latent interface problem, and if they rubbed, they were my tires.

Good luck becaue it's impossible to get rubber under these cars and have it really fit. Most owners merely pretend that the tires fit.
