I have found it rather difficult to find 409 stainless collector reducers for the ball and socket type flange on my Hedman headers. I can find 409 ss for a flat flange and gasket style, but not for the ball and socket. Since I did not want to weld an aluminized steel reducer to my stainless exhaust, I found a shop called Heartthrob Exhaust in MN that will make me a set. I found a Chevelle forum where someone mentioned they had a custom set made up. So, if anyone is looking (or will be looking) like I was for a set of these reducers, Mike at Heartthrob Exhaust is willing to make them upon order. Just an FYI. If anyone has found a place to buy these that I may have missed, please let me know.

I know that washing and waxing my car with the present condtion of my paint is like polishing a turd.....but it's my turd and I want it polished!
Just received my collector reducers from Heartthrob Exhasut and am very happy with how they look. I'll try to see if I can get the exhasut all done this week, but every day is suppopsed to be 95F+!

Keep in mind that ANY CUSTOM EXHAUST SHOP can make them, so it isn't as if 'Mike' is doing anyone any great favors; in fact, I would be willing to bet that he is hosing the dogcrap out of people.
Well, none of the exhaust shops in town wanted to make them and he is the closest custom exhasut shop. Not certain I understand the hostility in your post. I was just trying to alert people that if they needed a part, he was making them. If you have a better place for people to go that you have experience in making these parts, by all means, please share that with the rest of the group so they have options of where to look. I would be glad to hear where you had a set of 409 stainless ball and socket flange collector reducers made and how you made sure you weren't "getting the dogcrap hosed out of you".

Those are 2.5" inlet and 2.5" outlet. I needed 3" inlet and 2.5" outlet. Plus the flange is a 2 bolt flange and I needed a standard 3 bolt flange. Trust me, it wasn't from lack of looking at all of the catalog shops But that is about the price I paid for mine.
