Will 225 70 14's fit on the front of an unmodified 1969 bird. As far I can tell the suspension is stock and the body mounts have already been replaced.
I am either going to buy two additional 225's to match what I have on the back or try to find 4 - 245 60 14's .
My plan is to have all 4 tires be the same size on 14" rims
Q: Tires for 14x7 Rally II Rims I have set of 14*7" rallye II rims that i'm going to put some rubber on. Does anyone know what size tire i can get on these and fit them comfortably inside a 67 wheel well?
A: I dont know what offset your wheels have so use the following: all around size is 225-60x14 to be safe I have used 235 in front (rear is no problem) but its close. Rear can go with a 255 or 265 but depends on offset. I personally have grown out of the mismatched front to rear for a street driven car. All of these sizes can be put on a 7in wide rim
If you are going from a 70 series to a 60 series tire only the height will change. Width will be the same so I don't see an issue of them fitting but it will affect your speedometer. Here's a link to a full comparison of the tire sizes.
