i have replaced everything or rebuilt. now im putting it back together . I need to know where to start lining up the windows then the vert frame to that. I just cant seem to get the frame lined up correct. Ive read the manual a million times they make it sound easy, but its not.its a power top. i do have a complete manual top.

Hi Bob, been busy at work and not checking the FGF forums lately,

These guys go though lining up and installing a convertible top on a '69. The '67's & 68's are the same. They start on the top about 6 mins into this video. You can grab the bottom slider on the video and move it as you wish.

I don't think lining up a power top is any different to a manual top.

It takes a LOT of time and patience. But essentially you can fit the windows to fit the 'vert frame once you have the frame all sitting good and level over the front windows and the front header bow. The windows have almost infinite adjustment, the top not so much. Did you put on all the weatherstrip for the adjustment? Most will need to be removed to install the top so no glue yet. Hope this helps.

Where exactly are you having the problem?

the right side of the header is always higher than the left. I went asnd spoke with a freind at shop that does this , he said either i still have air in the system or one bad piston.

I might just put the manual top back on. i have both , it came as power.

I'd guess air. 2 yrs later and I still have air in the system. I've read its supposed to purge out through the pump when it runs but it doesn't.

Its not that big of a problem if one side lands on the header first. It easy to just reach up and pull it down a little to get the hook into place. I do it all the time.

Is the frame different from a manual to power top?? I have only had the power top. For the couple of times a year I move it I could have a manual top, it wouldn't matter. I put it down in the summer and up for winter storage. And maybe a time or two on between if its cold out or if rain sneaks up on me.
