Finally got the Drivers side Floor Pan welded and sealed. Now we have to finish the new seat brackets and put POR-15 on the whole floor. Any suggestions for anything? Let us know!

Make sure to fit the seat platforms before you start welding them in. Also POR15 does not stick to newly painted metal or new metal very well.

Can the pos 15, and use quality topcoat. Rattle can rustoluem is one thousand times better than pos 15.

When I was at this point as you are, I welded in the seat pans 2" further back for some legroom in the front. Now there are seat extenders. But the extra 2" was a big help with my formally 6'-4" frame.

Too late now but I would've removed the steering wheel for a little easier access.

yeah, POR 15 needs a pretreatment on bare metal or painted surfaces first (i'm sure you know this by reading the can) but as much as it pains me to say, i have to agree with 'mervo on this one...

We arent going to put POR 15 on the new (drivers) side. Just the passenger side. It doesnt have any bad rust on it. We will probably just rattle can the bare metal on the drivers side.

after three years my POR application is just fine....all in the prep.
