Hi all I bought a gen4 vintage a/c kit for my 68 firebird and was wondering which way to route the a/c and heater hoses. My car was factory a/c but all gone and i ended up welding the original hole in the firewall before i got the kit. (ordered from Prodigy over 12months ago+ i live in Australia) My car is at the panel shop at the moment with no running gear in it so id like to cut or drill holes now b4 paint goes on. Any suggestion and pix welcome Chris

I had a similar situation. For the heater hoses, the V/A set up uses the original heater hose locations so hopefully you can determine where they were? For the A/C lines, the V/A kit contains a block-off plate that locates those for you. Note: the supplied block off plate is specific to whether or not the car had a/c originally. I had previously installed my own block-off plate for that larger opening and in my case I kept my plate because it was painted with the firewall and I ended up with a non-a/c plate for my a/c car (my fault). It was easy enough though, to just set the V/A underdash unit in place and mock up where the lines will go. I’ll try to dig up a pic.
