Quick introduction - I purchased a 67 convertible about a month ago in decent driver condition. Its red ext, parchment interior and I hope to have pictures up soon. I have a general knowledge of car mechanics, but to put it lightly, I could definitely use others' knowledge base on several fronts.
I have been lurking and searching old posts for quite a while and have several questions that I haven't been able to find using the search function.
The first is whether I can fit 1968 "350" hood emblems onto the same holes as my 1967 "326" emblems. I know it's not original for 1967. My ride is a sort-of resto-mod in the making and it has a crate 350 in it. I would like to match up the emblems to the engine. The agent at Classic Industries couldn't verify the spacing of the nuts. Thanks in advance for the info.
I am about 99% sure the originals match, but I seem to think that some of the repop emblems have a larger stud size. If you don't want to be drilling out any holes, you may need to find original 350 emblems vs. repops. I may have a set of 350 ones lying around. I could compare to my 326 ones. I'll have to check in the next couple of days.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.
