Does anybody here have piston seal problems as I do with them?
I had the calipers rebuild several years ago. Cylinders were sleaved with stainless, new pistons, seals. Everytime I pull a caliper from the rotor a piston seal starts leaking. I installed longer wheel studs in my rotors today for a rim change. When I slid the caliper off it was fine, when I compressed the pads to slide back over the rotor one started seaping fluid... All of them are clean no sticking or binding pistons. I am pretty fed up with them after several years, I have been through 3 wheel seal kits..
Anyone know of a decent aftermaket caliper that is a direct fit with our spindle mounting plates? Thanks
I saw that they were reproducing the 4 piston calipers on EBay. I have no experience with them but they are supposed to be good repos and you can use your original hardware. I was toying with the idea because I want to maintain my original Rallys and it seems like these should fit with no issues.
The four piston calipers on the first generation camaro's were different than the original firebird ones. Made by different companies I'm pretty sure. Bird calipers were bigger and better.
