I have been kicking up a flock of First Gen Birds down here in SW FLorida. 15 years ago, I was the only one out, now at the annual AACA show in January there are 4-5 first gens in our Bird Nest. I ran into the artist that did my car a few months ago and he said a new guy to the area asked him for a painting of a 68 Firebird or 69 Trans am since he had one of each. The artist showed him my print and the guy told him that it was his car. The artist politley told him that he kinew whose car it was and not taken off of the web. He is getting him in touch with me to add to our local Bird nest group we call SWiFT Birds. SW FLorida TA's and Birds. No rules, just right! If you get out and make yourself known/shown, the Birds should come flocking.
When you look good, people tend to follow your style. You can add Kelly and Quicksilver 97's bad black '68 Pontiacs as inspriration for a good look. Quicksilver's and mine are practically twins seperated at birth!
We had 5 FGF's at our usual wed. night cruise in last week. We always out number the craparos. LOL. I know of 6 more FGF's in town (but 2 are very rare bird sightings).
Yep, similar story here. I had to create my own fgf show up here.
But I have now identified about 8-10 fgf's in the Twin Cities in various stages of completeness.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. there are lots in my area, but they never seem to put them in any shows. I put mine in a few each year, and am usually the only FGF, but I'm sure like me, they enjoy driving them much more than sitting beside them! lol
