I was wondering what product to use on my convertible top to get rid of some mold that has shown up. Could I use a bleach/water mix? I was thinking 1/4 cup to a gallon of water and some elbow grease.
Tri-sodium-Phosphate. Banned in many states including mine. Best [censored] cleaning product ever made. I stocked up so I still have a little stash hidden away.
still legal in alabama. we add it too our washing machine, dish washer. they took it out of those products years ago.(that's why grease doesn't come out any more) if you can't get it.i can ship you a supply. cost like $12 for 3 pound, maybe a little less. last a long time. you use about 1/4 cup per gal. of water or table spoon in cloths washer, or teaspoon in dish washer. GREAT FOR OIL STAINS ON CONCRETE. PM if needed. tim
I still have some stuff I purchased in 84 for my convert then, called "Top Job" Still have some. Can't seem to google it now but if you have no luck I can try and send you a few ounces.

I had the same problem. Bought some mildew remover from a boating shop. Took several applications (applied, scrubbed with a brush, waited some minutes, and rinsed). I think it was basically a bleach/water mix.
I couldn't believe the difference. The top virtually looks new (I honestly don't think it's been this white since I owned it!)
If your top is not white, I would try it in the least conspicuous place first.
