My guess would be that someone replaced the fabric, and omitted the trays. I think all fgfs came with them.

Mine was like that when I bought it. Both ashtrays were in one of the tubs of parts that I got with the car. Feel along the armrest, should be able to find the cutout. I carefully cut an "X" and inserted them. I am pretty sure they are repopped if you don't have them.
they are repopped , but not with the 'ribs' , just plain top....at least a few yrs back. I bought a set of repops from Classic , used those until I found a good used set with rib
maybe 67 wasnt ribbed? I just looked up 67 rear qtr ashtray in classic cat. G7668 , $32.95 ea in my , a couple of yrs old cat.
Looking at the catalog picture, they seem to look good compared to my car's originals. I had gotten mine rechromed a few years back when repros were not available.
