Just started going through the videos that started last month. Appears to be a very intact CA Black Plate 400 model including the smog pump and CA only air cleaner. Options I see so far are deluxe interior, Rally Guages, tilt steering wheel, hood tach.

Cool! I hope they use those Harbor Freight tools to take that snow plow off of there...

They say original factory paint, but someone threw a passenger side mirror on there.

I was going to say it looks like extremely faded out Verdoro Green. I am past the video where they took off the paint and then primed it. So it looks indeed like what's left of the original factory paint.

The body is really, really straight. Amazing find. Wonder how much they got it for?

After priming it is when they decided to clean and media blast the underside on a rotisserie. I would have done that before removing the exterior paint. Next they go straight to covering the undersides with Eastwood's undercoating. I would have painted the bottom first or at least primered it.

Somebody with a YouTube account should point out to them this is a rare car, 1 of approx 1500 with the totally unique air cleaner, carb and smog pump.

Episode #6, Engine Rebuilding was uploaded last night.

They used Valley Head Service in So Cal which has an excellent reputation.

Episode #7, Painting was uploaded last night.

I noticed we went from Engine Rebuilding to repainting with the motor back in the car. They also put a fire engine/resale red paint job on an original Verdoro Green car and put a black "Royal Bobcat" like treatment on the center of the hood & scoops.

Ok, I was thouroughly enjoying this video series until now. Let's take a super rare car in great body condition, a great color, rebuild away, and then spray it resale red with a black beak!!!! WTF!!!

Just dropped the value of that car $10,000 in my opinion.

Red is fine when the data plate shows red. But a voodoo green car needs to stay green! It doesn't even look like the "correct" '67 red either.

Are they building it back to stock or are they taking some freehand with the build? If a stock arrangement, I agree that it should be the orig color. If it's a custom build and being done for resale, then I wouldn't complain about changing the color to something more in a custom vein.

And women...uhhh never mind, I'll be right there honey!

Last video was posted over the weekend. Overall they did a pretty decent job. They resisted the temptation to do a lot of resto-modding. They even had the CA black license plates redone.

My nitpicks would be the aftermarket steering wheel, the "Royal Bobcat" hood treatment, the "SS Camaro" rear end blackout, the replacement of the front bumper without reinstalling the exclusive "400" crest emblem. In other words, another restoration by people who don't really know Firebirds very well.

Perhaps because they are ignorant - somebody could get the factory smog pump (which they left off) from them really cheap.

Did anyone notice the odometer actually read 4,410.5 miles and not 44,105???

Given the shape of the car and as some of you have pointed out, it in fact looks more like a 104k car.
