I have a new( to me) 68 convertable 350 HO 4 speed. I am trying to see how original it is. The block # is WK 238470. That is too big?? the vin is 123342 or prod. # 23342 is that just 505 off on the line or has the motor been replaced with a newer one. also the body tag date made is 11D or Nov. last week but the prod. # is 2138. Was this care made in Nov. of 67???
I was under the impression they didn't start stamping VIN numbers on the block until 68.
Model Year 1968 which is what he has (build date Nov '67). There are rumors that late '67 models had VINs on the block. Mine was a June build and still did not have them.
