I say we start a movement to hold christmas a week early just in case. Funny but we were in the Yucatan last year and when we asked some of the Mayans they said don't sweat it, it's just the end of that calendar. There's another one that picks up where that one leaves off. Maybe they just ran out of carving room on the big stone tablet and had to start a new one.
Oh,, come on now,,, don't spoil the show,,, don't you realize how many people are making a living on the belief that the world is coming to and end again??????... Remember Y2K,, lots of monies were made,,, and the trend goes on... after this one passes by, they will come up with another.. these scare tactics have been going on for Centuries... If you believe in the Holy Bible,, the world never really comes to and end anyway.. Mankind might go the way of the Do Do Bird,, but time marches on... Your gonna die anyway,, so you might as well go out with something spectacular,, like the big BANG!!!!... D'OH!!!...
We have a friend in our circle, actually the guy who paints all of our cars for us, who absolutely 100% believes this is going to happen. So much so that his handicapped son's birthday is a week after "the date" so he is having his birthday celebration/party a week early etc. So stupid, hard to believe people buy into this crap year after year, prediction after prediction over and over again...
Amazing. I saw a news thing the other night about this guy that answers all kinds of questions online(like Geeves or something) and he was saying that for the last year that's all he's been asked about. He says some people have gone as far as to say they were going to commit suicide or murder their children before so they wouldn't have to experience it. This guy was so disturbed by it he says he is quitting after the end of the year. It doesn't take much hipe to send mentally unsteady individuals over the edge.
Sad thing is, this guy is just as nice and a completely normal, well, you know what I mean, kinda guy. But he sincerely believes this BS. Oh well, I told him not to worry, he will certainly be around to paint out 69 Gp right after the first of the year! LOL
