Hello All, After a long hiatus due to building a deck last summer and battling an illness this fall I'm back to the restoration of the 68 RAI. I'm looking for good original parts, NOS if I can afford them, and aftermarket if I have to or the quality is there.
Here is what I can think of so far:
Passenger front fender Front fender firebird emblem Front bumper brackets Front bumper for 400 car Front bumper emblem Rear view mirrors Hood tach Passenger side fender brace Radio antenna Master cylinder (manual drums) HD radiator Radiator shroud Black front seat back panels (both) Factory chrome valve covers Upper air cleaner pan black Round bar Hurst shifter Horn Cap for black steering wheel
And Santa if you're reading this a complete carb to oil pan WI engine. Earliest date code possible.
Thanks!
Al

Hey Al, I've got some original master cylinders, passenger side fender brace, front 400 bumper, front bumper brackets, and front fender Firebird emblems. Shoot me an email at EarlyBrds@aol.com and let me know if you still need those parts. Thanks, Bill Edmunds EarlyBrds@aol.com www.EarlyFirebirds.com

I have both driver and pass. side grills and hockey sticks. They are definitely not pristine. I was going to use them, but decided not to bother. I also have a master cylinder for manual drum as well; along with the complete drums. I converted to power disc.

It's great to be back, thank you. PM's sent to all.
Some other things I should have mentioned the car was built the 3rd week of October. I know some parts are specific depending on early vs late.
Like the door mirrors which I'm fairly sure I need the round ones for a '68.
Other items I forgot:
Hood tach - tall or short I'm thinking short RA aircleaner lid and wing nut Seat belts black w/ metal buckles. Complete set and I need and extra center rear for the front bench.
Is the RA aircleaner lid specific to the RA kit or did they reuse the one that the car was delivered with?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks everyone!
