Anyone have any suggestions as to which aftermarket company makes the best fitting fender for a 68 bird. I know there will be minor modifications needed from all of them, I was just curious which company makes the best fitting parts.
I believe we finished this debate with the conclusion that all the aftermarket fenders are pretty much stamped in the same place. Goodmark, Golden Legion and OER.

The Goodmarks did not fit well. The "GM old stock" ones from the early 80's did not fit well either. I bought a pair of "new and improved stamped" Dynacorn ones for my coupe. I should know in a couple of weeks how those fit.

I was wondering if anyone out there has any feedback on reproduction fenders they've tried, good or bad. I'm restoring a 69 and an trying to decide whether to put the money into fixing my fenders (fairly extensive work required) or getting reproductions. I would hate to spend the money on reproductions though and then end up pouring more money into getting them to fit right. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
The very front portion that wraps the bumper were the wrong shape and needed a bunch of work.
The inside mounting brackets near the windshield were completely wrong, and had to be cut off and welded in the right location. the seam near this area also had to be cut, lifted, and re welded.
Overall I would rate the Goodmarks 8 out of 10, and the Dynacorns a 7.
For my latest project I bought just new fender bottoms. Those get welded along the middle body seam and replace everything below and behind the wheel well. I hope those work better. (I won't be working on that until spring sometime)
If you can find any clean originals, you will always be further ahead.
