Hello, I know this isn't directly related to 1st gen FB's, but I just got done rebuilding a vintage Auto Meter 4520 Rev Control unit that came with my 68 FB. Would anyone know if this will work on HEI type distributors, or on points only? I am leaning towards the points only answer. Further, I assume the "meter + and -" terminals go to the tach? I can't find anything out about this. I will post a picture of this tomorrow, if needed. Sorry if this doesn't qualify for this subject! Thanks, Jeff

Depending on how strong/old your vavle springs are you may already have a rev limiter built in. I have no idea about your meter.
