S191 should be up for bid on Saturday. Mecum site says around 4:30 PM so should be on the TV broadcast on the Velocity channel well after 4:30.

Didn't see it go across, perhaps not #'s matching?

Going back through their auction records, several #'s matching coupes have sold between 75 and 80k in the last 3 years.

That was a nice looking car. I can't believe that a real TA in that shape would sell that low. Heck a buddy was trying to sell his survivor TA a couple of years ago for that much. Also hard to believe is that they would not paint the grill the correct color for a TA. Must've been a clone. They don't really care if you have the correct documentation or not. They just figure buyer beware I guess.

Does it say it is an original TA? Did it sell? Was there a reserve?

Doesn't explicitly say "original" TA, but doesn't say clone either.

The price isn't out of line for an original Trans Am looking back at what several have sold for recently. I'm assuming the buyer did their due diligence.

Well I guess it's possible. If it is indeed the real deal someone got a good buy. Although $75K is no drop in the bucket I suppose but hammer price is different than final buy price too. That car will appreciate well in the next couple of years. Good investment if the buyer did his homework.
