Guys,

I just purchased a console on ebay for my 68 4speed. My bird never had one from the factory so I am not sure what it should look like. Does this one look correct (the link is below)? The top looks like it is made for my 4speed, but it looks like it has a slot underneath like for an automatic.

By the way, I have watched these things before and never won one. I paid $200.00 plus shipping. Is that an okay price?

Looks good to me but i can't tell from the picture as to the inside of the ring.Console looks good,$200 is little lower than i usually see the 4 speed consoles go for on ebay.Console looks to be in nice shape.Guy is about an hour and a half from me.

The only thing I was wondering about is what should it look like inside the silver ring? Should there be an oval plastic shroud or something? The photo is hard to see, but it looks like it has a slot for an automatic.

What you see is just "wear" in the black coating that covers the lower inside portion of the estucheon. (From the shifter boot rubbing on it.)

That is definitely a 4-speed console plate. The automatic top plate is different, but the rest of the console is the same from one to the other.
