here are the details first,69 firebird with 350 engine,vintage air,original fan shroud,19.5 inch seven blade fan (for a/c car)with a thermal clutch and the original spacer that came with my original four blade fan.now for my question,when all the above components are installed the fan sits completely inside the shroud.i was told that the optimum placement for the fan is half way in the shroud and half way out of the shroud for best cooling.any of you guys have 350 engine with a/c,and if so what does your setup look like.thanks allen
Fan clutch setups usually eliminate the need for a spacer.
