A guy at one of the local parts houses gave me a flyer today for the first annual Texas Dream Cruise. It will be held here in Frisco, Texas on June 29th at the Pizza Hut Stadium and they are expecting 2-3 thousand cars and hoping for up to 10 thousand visitors. Cool thing is that admission is free and registration is only $20 if you register before the end of April. I live right by the place and will be showing my '69 400 and hope it wont be the only first gen F-bird there. Hit me up if you're thinking about attending and lets see if we can all head out together.
Cool. Let me know ahead of time if you're going and we can cruise out there together. When you register you can also specify where you want to park and I put down that I want to park with other Firebirds-you can do the same. See you there-Dave.
Hi All! I work for Texas Dream Cruise. I wanted to let you know that an "organizer" can create-a-lot with your club/forum name and when each person registers they can add the name in the comments area. This way you can all meet up and be together at the event.
Early bird (by 4/30) is going on now and you get a free wall or dash plaque if you register before then. Please visit the website if you have questions or to register. We'd really like to see your awesome rides at the show!!!
Thanks for the info. I will definitely be there and am trying to get some other Firebird owners to show up as well. Being a Frisco resident I'd be really pumped up to have a large annual car show so close to home.
too bad Jim Roark moved away , he lived in Frisco, then built a house Prosper (which burned when almost finished,), had a red 69 vert , plus a 64 pale blue GTO..but he moved to Austin a few yrs back....I used to visit him when up there in D/FtW area

Understood. I am with a commercial electronic security firm and do a lot of work with some of the large GC's in the area. Was trying to see if you might work for one of them. Good luck with your project.

I am/we are going to be at the show. My car is down (bad radiator) but I will be driving a buddies 70 Ram Air Formula Yellow can't miss it. Perfect car. I am not sure what he is driving but it may be his 72 GTO Vert.. If you call let me know who you are, where you are and what car you're in.
Sorry I missed your message. Had computer issues and had to leave my laptop with my system administrator. Were you there? I had my '69 TA tribute there. The show was great and there were many more FGF's there than at the Goodguy's show. I have been in touch with the founders and am trying to be part of the organization process for next years show. Based on having 1,100 preregistered cars and another 1,000 plus at the show I would be very surprised if it didn't become an annual event.
Saw the Formula there (hard to miss that color)and was parked across the row maybe 5 cars to the south backed up to the east entrance to the stadium. I understand the radiator issue-my ignition switch went out the morning of the show and I had to reconfigure some things to make it there. If you ever want to get together and hit the Cars and Coffee 1st Saturdays at Classic BMW or Monday night show at Steak and Lube give me a shout at two 1 four seven 2 seven 0 eight 9 nine. My FGF user name is my name.

We saw a 69 TA a few steps away from where we parked the 70 Formula and a 72 GTO Vert. If that was you we briefly looked at your car. We were across from the DAPA group but we spent the majority of the time walking around looking at other cars.

Yup the radiator AND I/E gasket puked a week before the show. Didn't have the parts to fix it until now so I drove Tom's 70. Tom has a 69 Sprint Vert just like mine but with many many more options. He goes to the Cars and Coffee so when I am able to get mine fixed I am planning on going..... that is if nothing lee breaks along the way lol.
Was he the guy who got his at an estate sale? Think it was a metallic blue with black interior. When my buddy and I went and checked out his car he was acting like it wasn't his and was listening to what we were saying. Finally said that it was his after a few minutes and had a lot to talk about.
