I sold the 83 CJ-7 that my sons and I built yesterday. We built it several years ago as a way to get my then young boys into the garage and away from the video games. I gotta say I was kind of sad to watch it go down the driveway for the last time. Lots of good memories in that truck. A woman who is an advertizing exec bought it to relive her high school days and her old CJ. Here is the new owner and her jeep. She was a very happy girl.

So........I am now on the hunt for my next project.

Nice looking Jeep. I just bought a 97 TJ for my daughter a few months ago, raised 4". She loves it. Seems to wander a bit steering wise but I'll figure it out...

Now what are you going to fill the void with?

Swap out the steering box. Don't remember the item number but I am pretty sure is the same box as in our cars so you should be able to go to a tight ratio. Also check the bushings in the front springs. Mine were junk when I got the jeep and it was a battle to keep it going straight. Make sure you have the pitman arm for a lifted jeep. Lots of guys cheap out and don't change it.

As far the empty stall. I am going to take my time to decide what to fill it up with. More than likely it will be one of these three. 1) another 1 gen bird, a Ford model A roadster, a c-4 corvette roadster.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

Got a cousin in NJ who used to be a technical trainer for Alfa and just built one of those Zipper Motors modified roadsters with V-6 Alfa power. Not exactly what you're talking about but worth mentioning. He put something like 2,500 hours into the project.
