He thought they were Mustang's is my guess. That was my immediate thought too. But he had also pointed directly at the "Firebird" emblem on the fender.

in the last week I've had two chevy guys look at me stunned and amazed when I said I wouldn't put a chevy engine in my firebird. One of them was showing me an old bonneville (belonged to his customer) with a 396 in it at the time. sad sad... still a nice car though.
