Are any of the repro oem chrome valve covers as good as quality as the oem chrome valve covers? My built sheet shows my car came with them and I'm looking to put them back on.
The ones PY sells are nice, and I see that RARE has them listed as well. Probably from the same supplier. The PY ones are dead on. I don't know about the OEM (Classic?) ones.

The best ones i have seen...and the most correct. You could also rechrome your originals. Rechrome price may be cheaper if you had other parts to do (bumpers, air cleaner cover)

Thanks for the tip Harold! I just purchased a set for the HO.
Thanks for weighing in Craig and Banshee- always good to get the voice of experience!
I want to put something on once and forget about it as much as possible- quality over price when you can- IMO.

From his listings, he has a 68 heater box restored. Reading his listing he talks like they restore them. From the looks of it, he takes it apart and blast, powder coat and replace the foam.
Made contact with Dan at super duty firebirds in Auburn Wa. He is willing to do some sort of group buy but discount depends on the number of people and how we would do shipping. He suggested shipping to one location but I don't know how cost saving that would be.
I'll be willing to ship them out. But I guess the best bet is to get a list together and location and ship from the most centrally located location.
It's going to cost me $168 plus 15.64 shipping.
So...
If he is willing to go $130-140 and give us actual shipping costs on 8-10 sets, may be worth it. We would be looking at the amount and shipping divided plus shipping from wherever they ship to. I'd hate to get a $15 per set to ship all ($150 for 10 sets) Yes, I have seen it happen...then we'd have to ship from central hub. so that is theoretically $30-40 a pair to ship plus the cost of the discounted covers. If that discount is $140, we technically aren't saving too much..But thats me, the pessimist.

Does he sell the lids too? I could use two lids and one set of covers.
