Can't say I have ordered any new/repro stuff but I have gotten some things out of the swap/used parts area and was pleased. I picked up a great set of used headlight bezels for my 69' for $160. I know it was kinda pricey but he said they were worth it. After getting them he was right as they were extremly nice. Check out the website.
I purchased a remote mirror, fender emblems and some trim from them and was pleased. Packed well and as described. He was even honest about the quality on one item not being the best. I would buy from them again.
Frank is a good, honest guy. He tends to be no-nonsense and makes no apologies for what he charges. I have purchased several items from him - I was fortunate to be able to drive to Romona and pick them up, so I can't comment on shipping/handling.
He has many more parts than what is listed on his website. If you need something specific, just send him an email and he will respond pretty quick.
I bought a used 68 console in burlwood design and a new 68 remote mirror - both parts in perfect condition. Shipping and packaging was done great - even so he had to ship it to Germany. Funny thing beside: it was much less expensive than s&h done by ClassicIndustries or Paddock´s. He really cares for his customers. For the moment I´m waiting for a used 400 cci air cleaner I ordered last week for a reasonable price. I also ordered a new repro bumper emblem - we´ll see if it´s okay... I´ll keep you posted, items should arrive this week.
I promised to keep you on track concerning my last order at Frank´s Pontiac Parts. Once again s&h was done in the best way possible. I bought a used 68 air cleaner combo for a 400 cci block ($180) and a new front bumper arrowhead emblem ($39).
The air cleaner is in really good shape; I think it´s worth every single $ I´ve spent.
But to be honest I´m not so pleased with the new 68 front bumper arrowhead emblem. It´s the same Paddock´s offering for $49.95. So on the positive side it´s much cheaper than Paddock´s. I know it for sure because I have both... It´s well done - nevertheless I think the painting´s not as accurate as it could be. My main problem: I´ve never seen an original one, only reproductions. So it´s hard to compare...
But I think there´s one ebayer who offers better ones from time to time (also about $38). They are shown standing next to a GM box without being a GM part. But he´s not offering them at this moment. I think I´ll give it a last try - than I have three front nose emblems. Should buy two other Firebirds
I bought a complete rear 3.55 posi axel from frank's he said it was being used everyday in a car of someone he knows, and was in great shape !!!with shipping it was $850. when I got it in the car bearings were shot, IT sounded like grinding marbles When I called him. He said "OH WELL THATS WHAT YOU GET WITH USED PARTS".He also said thats why he dosn't sell engines of other large parts.
He can be a little rough and right to the point on the phone.
