68 Firebird 400 4 speed conv. All #'s match alpine blue car, all original body panels. DLX interior (black), black power top. One repaint on beautiful unrestored car, rally cluster, PS, ect. Motor has never been out of the car. 61k miles...
I might be wrong but I think this was the 68 vert that was being advertised and it may be sold. Looks like good $$ for a 68 400 vert but question his recent purchases (repop inspection stickers and stamps)which appear to be showing up on the engine block. The eBay link follows.

If that is the real price paid, in my opinion he got top of the market for the car.

We'll have to keep an eye to the buyer/seller feedback and see if the deal went through ok. I liked the car (contacted the seller through eBay and complemented him on it)but the pricepoint and price escelation during the auction was a little out of the norm from what I seen at this level.

Yikes! Looks like the seller received Negative Feedback: "Condition of car grossly exaggerated. Inspect before bidding with this seller."
The seller left positive feedback (because sellers can't give negative feedback). But! He ripped the buyer in the narative: "Terrible buyer, funds not in place to buy. . Guy is Trash. Do not deal with him!"
Looks like that was an expensive mistake!

The car did sell for $41,100 or so a month or two ago...it was a very nice, albeit largely unrestored car. The guy had a "Pontiac" guy come and appraise it before he paid...got the car home and expected a frame off car...whatever...car was accurately described. I buy inspection stamps and trinkets off ebay all the time...I have a bunch or rare birds...
