Leaking fluid (antifreeze) under dashboard.

It's a slow leak thats coming from underneath the dashboard. There is a small pin at the bottom and it kind of looks like the head of a nail. Any suggestions? Thanks!

the only thing under the dash is the heater core.

It's leaking from the bottom through a pin-like hole.

There have been qite a few threads about replacing the core from the inside of the car. I think Wouter did a picture tutorial a couple of years ago.

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure.

first , just disconnect it , by pass it...its not an urgent need to have that heater in Calif. or Texas...lol

Just disconnecting it could cause cooling problems. You need to bypass it by running the hose from the back of the head to the water pump.

Plugging the lines is better. That way the coolant travels through the head instead of the hose. Bypassing is also fine.
