Does anyone have the dimensions of the rear panel bumper mounting holes? I believe my rear bumper is bent and am wanting to make sure it is just the bumper.
Does it kick down in he front? It's a super common problem because people set in place and tighten the fasteners. Loosen the bolts, maintain upward pressure on the side/end, then tighten THE SIDES FIRST. 3 people would be perfect. One watching from the side and the other two to pry and tighten the bolts.
Often, they take some coaxing, and I cannot find one person without a life, let alone 3. Caught me in a pretty good mood: It wants to hang down on its own. With the back bolts loose, PUSH DOWN on the bumper and tighten the BACK bolt fairly snug. Find a sutiable pry bar that you can set between the front and back bolt.
Use a larre enough glob of dum-dunm inside of a socket so it will stay on a bol by its own. Place the socket on the front bolt. Use the fairly snug BACK bold as fulcrum, and place the pry bar between the back bolt and front bolt that's covered by the socket.
Pry up on the front bolt, and it should shift upward, then tighten. If the back bolt drops, start over with a tighter torque. By the way, you can walk it eigher way, using one bolt as the a fulcrum. You may find that the back bolt should have been up, just a hair, not down. All I'm doing is creating a picture of a technique. ONce you understand the process, it's self explainatory if you need to make further shifts, and you'll know how to do it.
I don't know if I need to claify. I know I need glasses to type in this window.
The dumm-socket sits in place, and you press the pry bar against the socket. If you don't have the socke in place, you cannot turn the bolt because it interfaces with the pry bar. That's something you would have figured out after you were prying on it.
