Just finished my eight month project and got my 68 coupe on the road sunday! I did a complete shakedown of the entire car, on top of a TON of mechanical issues, paint, wiring, etc
Its a 350 4 speed coupe
My concern? My car feels bouncy when I am going down the road. Going over the reciepts in 2011 the previous owner replaced New Front and rear shocks-Gabriel Ultras New front coil springs-correct part # New front end components-tie rod ends, sleeves, ball joints, pitman, idler New rear springs-correct part # New rear bushings-shackles 4 205/75/14 kelly tires
Driving down the road at 40 MPH...It just feels bouncy. Not dangerous...just bouncy
My 67 Camaro RS smallblock auto car had a firm, stiff suspension, but not like this
Besides having a female (well, besides the wife) bra-less in the car while I am driving) any suggestions?
Sounds to me like he's complaining about it being TOO firm already...as in firmer than the RS Camaro he references. High perf shocks will firm it up even more.
Not convinced that's what the original poster is seeking.
FireMedic...please clarify. What the heck do you mean by "bouncy"? Floating and drifting up and down while running down the road, like the shocks are not dampening the up & down motion? Or do you mean your teeth rattle from each bump in the road like the suspension is not compressing and it's just sending all impacts right on through to your random chick's jigglers?
