Everytime I connect up the brake booster, the engine runs crappy. I disconnected it and it idles smooth. I have them connected at the rear of the Carter with a tree, has 3 ports on it, one for the trans modulator, the other for the vac. adv., and the last one for the power booster. I know I run at low vacuum around 13" to 14" at idle and I am running a 9" booster and when I disconnected the check valve I heard no air ruching.. Do I keep it connected or not? Is it a bad booster? or what is it?
I believe the vacuume connector to the brake booster is a one way valve. If you pull it off the brake booster with the motor shut off you should get a woosh of air sound.
