Howdy all I need to generate money to send my daughter to college and am wondering what my Firebird is worth if I were to sell it. It is a 67 with a chevy 350 crate engine tuned for drive-ability and a 3.73 12-bolt rear. In the last 8 years I have replaced/installed... ** Body to frame bushings ** Complete front suspension rebuild ** 200R4 transmission and driveshaft U-joints ** New interior ** In-dash tach (Chevy Camaro repop) ** windshield ** Convertible top, power rams ** 400 hood & badging (tribute/clone/wannabe) ** Split exhaust tips ** rocker & gills trim ** radiator is aftermarket aluminum ** New paint ** Disk brakes in front ** ZROC steering box conversion ** Lowering springs ** Located and installed 3 of the four cocktail shakers ** Front spoiler ** Spatter pint the trunk
Very very nice car but what made you go with a Chevy 350? Nothing against Chevy's but I would think that most Pontiac people would want a Pontiac engine in their 'bird and that could hurt the overall value. Do you ever get out in this car? I live right by the Plano/Frisco border?
Sorry for the late response. Body is good. No rust. It had some surface rust that was fixed when it was painted. Also, I painted the interior w/POR15 when I added the under-carpet insulation.
Beautiful car. You mention column shift is the downside. I think that is sweet option, not super common. The birds I think promoted bucket seats etc. back in the day. I have a 67' rag with column so i'm a littler prejudice. I put a bench in it and love it, but that's the practical side. What its worth hard for me to say, cause i can never let anything go!
