So I don't make anymore big dumb moves like putting the rear carpet in backward, I am getting ready to install the pillar weather striping and since it was not on or with the car when I got it, I don't know how it goes on. The kit I got gives installation instructions that don't match what is on the car. I do know it is the right molding because the holes line up but the top of the molding does not line up with the top of the pillar. So I need to see if someone has some pictures of what it looks like on the car. Is it held in place with the push in plastic pins top and bottom and glued in between? Thanks EB
Okay, now I know what I am missing. I am missing the metal channel that screws onto the pillar and has a channel that the weather stripping goes into. Great! another part this car doesn't have.
So does anybody have some of these, don't know the official name for them, they want to sell? EB
They are piller post channels, but I think they differ between the 67 and the 68-69 models. They are also different for the convertables. What year do you have and is it coupe or convertable?
ok, I see you made another post stating it was a 67 vert. I am taking a guess the reason why you are asking other folks if they have any 67 Vert piller post weatherstrip channels since they seem to be very expensive.
No, sorry I sure dont man! I wish I did so i could hook you up, cause those prices are crazy high if you have to buy them new! I will keep my eyes open for you and let you kow if I see someone with some used ones that they are trying to get rid of.
