My car has the front disc and rear drum. Just replaced all parts on drums. Everything seems to be fine except the arm that pushes down on the star adjuster. it is pulling away from the star. I am at my wits end with it . Please help me . I can take pics as needed but i have looked at hundred's and all the parts are on correct. The rod that goes from the arm to the top spring holder seems to long. I am wondering if the top center nail pin is worn out and is to small . Also i have replaced all brake line's, master ,booster, disk, drums, wheel cyl, calipers and all hardware. The old rods from the arm to the top pin also seem to long now. https://firstgenfirebird.org/forums/images/icons/default/crazy.gif
Had to fix this many times. You just have to put a small bend in the rod to effectively shorten it a bit. Then the adjuster lever will sit on the star where it should be. If you need a picture let me know.
where is the best place to put the bend. A pic would be wonderful. I thought about that but didn't think it was a good idea. I guess there is no reason why that would be a bad idea.
