Is there someone who has procedures for restoring 400 emblems, color and type of paint.

The model paint Testors Boyd 52708 - Sunburst is a very good match to the original orange-like color. Some local hobby shops may carry it or you can order it on-line.

Yep, thats the right number for 400 emblems, but I hate it! Why they didn't match the bird emblem color with the 400 emblems I'll never understand. The darker, deeper red is much more alluring to the eye.

Look throught the FAQ section and use the baking procedure in there, work really well. Did it will all my old emblems.

Yes Dave 69 ,the 350 emblems are the same color...

And Nash ,when I first had my car painted I matched the red from the car into the emblems...but eventually changed to the 'correct' color....

I have seen a silver 69coupe here in town (friends) that has the firebird script on the fender side plus the 400 emblems ,hood and rear painted black to match interior , he also has matching silver in grilles , rather than the 'argent'...looks great!
