Just wondering if anyone has come across any bulletins or documents explaining why Pontiac did not allow A/C to be ordered along with a manual transmission on the Firebird line in 1968?
I'm not sure about the Camaros, but A/C was available on the Firebird in '67 and '69 with manual transmission, regardless of engine application.
It makes me wonder if re-availability has something to do with the redesigned water pump in '69? That might then suggest a Firebird cooling issue that Pontiac combatted with the early First-Gens.
I thought I remember the 400, 4-speed, A/C combination was not available in '68 or '69? This memory is vague since it was a few years ago when I was looking for my car.
