So I ordered the "original Style" door glass channel weather strip from Ames Performance. They state these are a excellent reproduction for correct restoration. They have a thick fuzzy outer sweeper with a stainless steel bead.
The stainless steel bead is my question. Did the originals have this small stainless bead? I had not seen any like this.
The ones that was on my car appear they were correct. They were wider and flatter then the ones Ames sent. The ones I took off we more like the repro's you see but had the ends finished nicely and the had made in USA with a part number.
I can take some pictures today what they sent and what I have. Thought I would post the question to see what these actually look like. If you know you have the correct weatherstrip can you post a picture of it?
I'm sure mine are original. I just need someone to take care of my "work" work so I can spend a day with my 'bird researching all these questions. No free time whatsoever these days.

I thought I would let everyone know that I ordered the outside window felts from ames performance. These are the correct bead style that they say are excellent in quality. I also got a set of NOS window felts and the two are almost exact. I can not really tell the difference between the two. The new tooled ones are excellent.
Sounds just like the "better" ones that Classic sells. I used them on my coupe and one of my 'verts.
