Ok - we have 2 square holes in the front valance piece to mount the license plate bracket to. What fasteners were used originally to attach? I'm thinking bumper bolts? seen philips head screws...
Should be a third hole above the other two for the rubber bumper.
Keeps the front license plate from rattling when Bjorn is cruising down the highway at 135 MPH...

Do you have to have a rubber bumper with a square insert or will a round insert fit into the square hole of the valance?
I ran a screw backwards through the back side of the square plastic insert into the rubber bumper on my coupe. I'd have to look closely at my 'vert to see how it was really done origionally. I'll add it to the ever growing list.

That hole is about 1/2-3/4 inch above the license plate.
Not on my cars. Its about 3/4" below the top of the license plate. I looked last night at my 'vert. The rubber bumper is gone, but I remember from back in the '80's those having a wierd, square base rubber bumper that popped in through the square hole. Was similar to the rear plate bumpers. About 3/8" diameter, 3/4" long. My coupe is the same way. My other 'birds are wrapped up for winter, so I can't check for a couple more months.
Probably a function of how the bracket is bent.

Also my upper square hole is way above the plate so a rubber number would be useless for me too.
