I took last week off of work. I was able to spend almost 2 full days of quality time with my bronzebird. I installed new front stabilizer bushings, power steering gear, motor mounts, courtesy lamps, changed the fluid in the convertable top pump, and serviced the TH400 transmission(still leaks!).(I replaced the powersteering pump a few weeks ago) I was thinking about changing the body mount bushings but,I ran out of ambition. Then, I added about 6 gallons of C-12 to the tank and tore up the road for another day with my kids. I even let my 13 year old son drive her in a vacant parking lot. He's hooked!!! Can't remember a better vacation. So, my snowbound friends, follow the ducks and geese to the south. We can drive 12 months of the year(right Bjorn?). It will improve your relationship with your FGF, and, maybe, your teenage kids!
Yeah, but us yankees get 6 months a year to work on our cars at our leisure - and don't have to waste any vacation time for it. There's plenty of snowed in weekends spent in the pleasure of bird projects! We also put fewer miles on our cars so they last longer

And just for your information, I'm only missing 1 tooth!!
BTW, I lived in "Southern" Ohio for first 20 years, you couldn't pry me outta South Texas to go back.......at least not for very long, maybe April to September!!
I saw the picture of your car, Greg, it is really a beautiful car. I don't care how many teeth you say you have, you must certianly smile alot when you drive or work on that bird. Truly a Beautiful Car!!! Brent
Well, this southern boy still has a full set of teeth.....and they're all MINE! LOL
Good thing we can drive ours while it's being worked on....
I'll take a hot day over 21 inches of snow in APRIL! LOL My parents are in Colorado....moved there 4 years ago after my dad retired. They're moving back to Tx this summer.
I just hope my son and daughter realize what a special car this FGF is, and the era it represents(assuming that one of them will own it one day). I can't think of any modern car that would be a classic in 35 to 40 years(maybe 'vette's and the new 'stangs). "Rice rockets" vs. Ponycars/Muscle cars? Are our kids going to be bidding on old "rice rockets" at the Barret Jackson auctions in 2040? I don't see it.
