Does anyone have a standard wheel for 68 they want to sell?

I think you may have already found a steering wheel. What did you have to give for it?

I did. Found a complete one in Florida that needs some attention (a-hem) for 75.00.

I heard from a buddy of mine that they had such an issue with these wheels that there was a factory recall? Getting them restored is pricey- I am getting quotes now, but thinking of having a buddy of mine do it. Problem is, I've heard that they crack again in a few years..

I did talk to Doug at the steering wheel guy, and he has a process he uses that supposedly greatly reduces any comebacks on the cracks. He seems pretty confident he can make it last and he is a great guy to talk to.

there aren't many options out there it seems for wheels. Have you come across a site that you would recommend for a wheel?

Which wheel? There are no exact repro's for a 68 wooden sport- only 69's are available for that.

The deluxe are more plentiful than the standard it seems- they are on epay and Cl often.

The standards seem to be the hardest to find.

As far as refinishing- there are a lot of guys out there, but the re- do rate is kind of high. That's why I am going with Doug Lepak (The steering wheel guy) for mine. he has a different process than others.

If you are not worried about keeping the car looking original- there are multiple sites for different wheels.

I have a standard one I'd be willing to sell.
