As I am getting closer to completion with my project, I am looking at ways to make sure it doesn't go anywhere I don't intend it to.
Just curious if anyone else on here uses some of the major systems like Ravelco or Lojack?
I have also heard people using dummy wires, cut-off swtiches, or chains!
It might be overkill but I would like to get the lojack AND revelco.

I usually try to back into a parking spot if I can. I figure they will roll up with a flatbed if they are going to take it. That's what I would do. A kill switch would be a good deterent and is easy enough to rig up. I try to park near some high priced beamers or benzs or vettes. I figure they will take them before they take my pile of parts. Lojack would be ok but they already have your car and by the time you get to it the only thing left will be the transmitter.

Most nice cars are stolen by towing companies, they are the ones that have the "insurance company" towing contracts. They are the ones that the police always suggest to you after an accident.
Also they have yards with tall metal fences.
Park nose in and turn steering hard to one side and make sure steering wheen locks in place.
If you do that they have to get a dolley under the front wheels and that takes time.
A kill switch wil not stop a tow truck but making it hard to tow will.

I had a hidden switch to turn off ignition....doesnt work for 'tow'....but otherwise..it was so well hidden that the mechanics could often not find it even after I told them where it was...had to 'show' its location, by the way of 'feel'
