Should i replace or can i reuse the shackles?? And just replace shackle bushings.. For lowered springs

No need to replace the shackles unless there something wrong with them or the bolts. Like if they are eaten up by rust.

I purchased a repro shackle kit during my project. Then I compared the original shackles to the repro shackles, and the originals were MUCH much thicker and heavier/stronger when compared to the new repros.

I had purchased the kit years prior....too late to return.

So I utilized only the bolts/nuts from the kit because mine were junk. I went poly with the bushings, and I blasted and painted my original shackles. The repro shackles got tossed in my scrap metal pile.

If your originals are straight, re-use them. Much better than the repros.

I bought a new set of shackles from pro-touringfbody.com they were abput two-three times thicker.
