For those of you who don't already know, I just bought a bunch of them at Home Depot and Lowe's. USA made, much stronger that original, and they have the short and long versions, too.

Perhaps you can post a link, M&C: linkie no workie, because the only ones I could find are shear pins, not U-bolts; again, what I saw would be a total disaster, not a suitable fastener for an automotive rear end. Please show me which ones you bought because we may not be on the same page..

Where is it listed that they are stronger than factory automotive bolts?

I think they are referring to the U Nuts, not the bolts.
