Question about the 67 parking lights (silly?)

Rewired the entire car and noticed that when I turn on the parking lights they work but when I pull the headlight switch out to turn on the headlights, the parking lights go out-is this normal????
I hooked up a 12 volt 2amp charger to check the system. All others work as planned. Thanks

Totally normal.

Same as mine ... apparently changed for 68 where parkers remain on with headlights.

My local rego authority even flagged as a non-compliance until I convinced them it was normal for type.

Just the head lamps on looks meaner vs 68's and 9's with park lps.
But they have the cool rear marker lps though.

My car hates me...
