Hi, looking for some input, have 67 ragtop and am changing out the original steering wheel for a grant classic wheel. I followed the directions with the steering wheel.but when I reconnected the battery the horn blows and doesn't shut off unless I disconnect the supplied wire from its connection on the new installation kit. Any idea what I did? The directions have me take original horn plunger and spring and replace with theirs which is much longer. Don't have much faith in that set up so I think that might be the culprit. Also wondering how the turn signals get shut off after activated, doesn't seemed like there is any info about that. Don't have any experience with this. Any thoughts would be appreciated, plan on calling Grant tomorrow to get help if possible. Thanks Kevin
Did you have the horn cap on when the horn was blowing? If the cap was on, was the spring under the cap? The turn signal cancel should not be affected at all with the new wheel. That mechanism is under the plastic riser that the horn wire slips into. It is important to keep the same location for that riser though. This has been discussed in other threads in depth so try a search . Good luck
