How is the convertible well liner attached to the rear seat support? Does it just screw on or is there a long piece of trim or something that attaches it to the rear seat support? does it screw on from under the lip or on top?
Does anyone have some pictures of how it is installed?
The liner on my 400 'vert is original and runs up and over the back seat frame and is screwed from the interior of the car (behind the seat). On my 4 speed when we installed a fold-down seat, we ended up tucking it behind the divider panel.
I only have the one picture handy:

Screwed to the front face of the divider frame. Upper part of back seat then covers the screws.
(or with a fold-down, the divider cover covers the screws)

No, I'm not sure what those holes are used for. (I don't think they are)
The liner goes up and over that top, and down the inner (seat compartment side) and is screwed to the vertical face of the divider.
Then when the upper part of the rear seat is installed, the seat covers the screws.
Or in the case of a fold down seat, the divder panel covers the screws.
And the rear speaker cover goes over the top of the liner as well.

The upholster that put on the top and the well liner saw the holes in top of seat support and thinks they are factory holes. To perfect for some one to just drill it. He thinks the boot was screwed down there to. I told him that we think it was just clued.
I have this one picture that you can see the screws holding down the well liner in.
Are we positive that the well liner is just clued to the seat support and not held down with screws?
All 4 of my 'verts have those holes, and none of them show that screws or bolts ever went through them.

Maybe Camaros screwed theirs and when replacements went in they just thought that was how it is suppose to be. We will just clue then. We can always add them but not take them away, Right?
I'd still be interested in what other members have to say... I wouldn't take my word for it. I'm just stating what I personally have seen over the years.

I assume you mean the frame right behind the rear seatback. I know mine has no screws to hold the liner. I replaced the liner and top myself (never again) 25 years ago and would have used the screws then if they had been there. I believe the liner is glued down behind the seat but cannot tell unless I pull the seat.

Seems about right. There has been many items on this build that is split down the middle. Sometimes you just have to pick a side. Right or wrong but how is going to know if there is not correct answer.
