Replacing the upper and lower control arms on a '68, using the existing spindle. The upper and lower control arms were ordered from NPD. There is about a 1/2 inch gap (ball joint shaft exposed) between the upper ball joint and the top of the spindle. The ball joint has been greased. I did notice the size of the ball joint (rubber) is different from the old upper arm and the new upper arm. This is a front disc car that a previous owner had converted from drum. I ran the numbers on the caliper and it is from a '69. Upper and lower arms appear to be original, but the upper ball joint was replaced some time ago, has bolts instead of rivets. Has anyone had problems with the upper control arms from NPD, or any other suggestions?
