Hi, I have a 67 firebird convertible with a 3speed auto console shifter. My questions is whether anyone knows of a transmission lock so that the tranny cannot be moved it of park until it is unlocked. I have children and grand kids and my fear is someone could move the tranny out of park while the car is off in our driveway and bad things could happen! I don't know if there anything out there for this generation of cars. Thanks Kevin

I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not sure. Let me expand the concern on the basis of potential theft deterance. That is my main reason that I also miss the '69 and up lockable tranny/steering. Something that would increase my confidence when it came to parking my '67 anywhere while knowing that all you have to do to roll the car away is to take out a window.

Yeah, but the flip side is dealing with all the extra linkage underneath and getting everything lined up correctly. 67 and 68 are elegantly simple.

Yeah, it makes kind of nervous as my goal is to drive my 67 as much as possible. Guess there is no contraption out there yet, who knows maybe I'll invent it. Thanks Kevin
