The Carnival Red 1968 Firebird Ram Air 1 has gone through auction a few times, and never sells, and the price keeps getting lower. May 2010 - Bid to $90,000 - no sale May 2011 - Bid to $60,000 - no sale Sept 2011 - Bid to $50,000 - no sale The 1968 Ram Air II car has been in a few magazines, and I recall seeing the bench seat with 4-speed, very rare car, may go for $100K if the planets are aligned.

Anybody have any thoughts as to why the carnival red one is not selling?

And I will update my predictions for the RAII car. It will not sell.
High bid will be shy of 110-120k.
No way will a RAII car (unless a 4 speed vert) exceeds RAIII or IV Trans Am valuations.
Another interesting sticking point...the II car does not appear to have the original transmission.

They are both nice cars. The carousel red car is really stunning visually. Its hood tach looks like an original, and the piece that is bowed can likely be fixed And I believe that piece should be painted black.
