Finally got the bird on the road this weekend for the very first time. Had to work on the brakes, tranny and replace a motor mount over the past few weeks. Still have the brake pedal to the floor occasionally, but lift it- and it is solid again. Gonna have to bleed those brakes one more time, think i just have some air as it is only occasionally. Talk about fun though- she really moves out and lays a real pair of black streaks!

Gonna try and drive her this summer while I finish up the shop. I got the lights for the shop, (4 tube T8 fluorescent) and got a good deal on a used 9000 lb ALM hoist, so I need to get those installed and then insulate the walls.

Thanks guys. I hate to disappoint, but this was just a quickie turn and burn early in the morning (before our towns finest were out) without plates on just to test the work I did. Shes not ready to cruise just yet- gonna have to get the brakes bled and go from there.... I might put the interior back in for the summer as well. I just don't know how far i want to put it back together knowing that I am just going to start tearing her down again this winter for the full resto.

Supposed to pick the hoist up Thursday afternoon, hope to get that in soon. Free time seems to be the big issue...

Pictures aren't very good, just some quickie's showing the bump up in the ceiling of the shop where we put the special truss's in, and a snap of the rest of the cluttered shop with the bird sitting there.

Absolutely! Have done so much travel for work this year I hit airline status last month. 15 years since that happened, never wanted to be a frequent flyer again, but oh well. Been mostly on the east coast and Texas, hoping to get back up there next month.

My wife would not be happy if I traveled that much. She complains about the amount I do now! frown

Picked up the hoist yesterday, two buddies schedules changed and they couldn't help unload it, so me and another buddy got er done and laying on the shop floor with the help of old Red - our1956 International 460 Utility tractor. Another buddy is remodeling a house for the City buy back program, and he offered me a high efficiency Rheem furnace they (the City) are replacing with a brand new. So it looks like I will be replacing the old Lenox furnace i have been storing with this upgrade. Picking the furnace up today at lunch.

Looks good Craig. Make sure it's safe to use. You don't want to trim your pants shorter because the lift came down on you lol
