I took all the brake lamps, trunk lock, emblems off the tail panel for painting and mistakenly shut the trunk. It latched and now I don't know how to open it. Any tricks to this? I'm assuming just stick a long screw driver in the lock hole but I can't see the latch and don't want to break it, etc. Thanks.

Yep, long skinny screwdriver and a small flashlight. You will be surprised how easy it is.

If you can't get it open from there you can remove the back seat and then you can pop it from the inside. This also works for key broken in the lock.
